What Does Success Look Like?

What does success look like to you?
10 years ago, if you asked me to define success, I would have said someone who was rich and had more money than they knew what to do with.  Isn’t it funny how things change over the years?
For me, a successful person is someone who is comfortable & enjoys their life, deals with limited stresses (doesn’t thrive off drama), that is able to work at a job they love, can & does give back when possible, able to do things that bring them joy (for me it’s traveling, photography, & writing) & tends to look more at the positive side of things verses the negative.  A successful person to me isn’t necessarily someone who has a lot of money because we all have seen celebrities & other rich people spiral out of control or crash & burn.  Just because you have money doesn’t mean you area successful in my book.  It’s more than that, it’s more of an inner quality that a person possess & can project outwards, as I stated in my list above.
So, think about success for a moment & how you would define it.  At this point in your life would you consider yourself successful?  Think back 10 or 20 years, would you have considered yourself successful?  Has your definition of success changed over the years?

  1. Success is definitely being happy whatever that means to you. I see it as not having money and stuff. Sure having enough money to sustain the lifestyle you desire is important, but more important it’s having love, having a comfortable place to live, having friends, and doing the things I enjoy.
