Living A Happier Life: Make A Commitment To Ourselves

On one of my favorite blogs, I came across something that really I really just loved.  It was making a commitment to ourselves in order to live a happier amazing life.  Check more of the post out here.
Today I’m sharing a part of the post that I felt was the most important.  Being more mindful, let go of things that don’t add value, & being more aware of our daily actions is the 1st step to living a happier life.  Not only does it eliminate the unnecessary but it adds room for the important people, places, & things.

I (name),

Make a commitment to myself,

To spend so much time improving myself and my life that I have no time for worry,  judgement, criticism, whining and complaining;

To forgive, release and let go of my attachment to any past struggles and allow every challenge life sends my way to make me better not bitter.

what’s in front of me;

To let go of all the pointless drama, all the toxic relationships, thoughts and behaviors that are present in my life and to constantly shift my focus from the bad on to the good;

To make room in my heart for love, happiness, peace and tranquility and to create my life from a place of infinite choices and possibilities – the present moment, and no longer from a place of limitations – the past.

I commit to staying true to myself at all times and to never betray myself just so I can please other people.

I commit myself to give up on toxic thought, behaviors and relationships but never on myself and my dreams.

Starting now and starting today, I will  begin rebuilding my life and to make it ridiculously amazing.

Sincerely,
(name)

Are you going to join me & make a commitment to yourself,
to live a happier life?
I would love to hear your thoughts.

Motivation of the Day….March 3rd

This past week has been a blur of dealing with my stomach problems that was plaguing me. But it’s been 2 days of feeling like myself again, so this bout seems to be over.  The whole time I was sick, I thought about my blog.  It seems so silly but truly love it & love chatting my readers.  It’s always on my mine because I always have something I want to share with others.  So I guess that would make me Silly Sarah.
Since I had time to relax & recover, I’ve made sure to capture images that inspire or motivate me, to share with you all. I’ve also done a little reading, some things I’ve read, really got to me. I’ll share more on that in another post.
Lastly, 2 days ago I restarted my photography season, in which I will be doing action sports, sport groups, dances & proms, & spring school portraits.  In between I’ll still be doing my freelance photography. My illness can’t completely slow me down. Here is how our last week looked it.

Inspiration of the Day….February 17th

This week I’ve been battling stomach problems, which gave me little to no motivation.  It’s been so bothersome I had to go to the drs to see if my illness is coming back.  It’s scary when I have my flair ups because I always worry that my liver isn’t working & I’m going to have to go through every painful thing I’ve done before.   Living with a chronic illness is such a hard thing for any of us to deal with.  It really effects us physically & mentally.  Some weeks, months, & years are easier than others.  This was been a trying, that’s for sure.
During these times, my kids are the ones that inspire me. They are the most understanding kids I could have asked for.  They step up & help out more when I’m like this without asking or complaining.  Like tonight, even though I’m feeling better than I have been, my 13 y.o. did the dishes for me, my 15 y.o. daughter made dinner, & my oldest cleaned up the living room to make way for our new couch tomorrow.   Because of this, I’m in good spirits, I’m able to rest up, & tomorrow I know will be a better day for me.

Motivation of the Day….February 12th

Last week I went as a guest with a friend of mine to this new gym.  It was a lot of fun & I really enjoyed the gym.  What I love about this gym is: that they have a woman’s only room, the pricing (it’s only $20/month with no contract),  i can bring my kids, it’s open 24hrs, & it’s only 13 mins from my home.
So today, I decided to join the gym.  And I’m super excited about it.  This will def help during the super cold days when I can’t go walking.  This weekend it’s supposed to be cold with the high of 7.  So I’ll walk the treadmill at the gym.
